Lakshmi Mahadevan, Ph.D.
CQI Coordinator

Lakshmi Mahadevan (Dr. M) is an Associate Professor and Extension Specialist – Special Populations at Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.

A native of India, Dr. M came to the USA as a doctoral student in 1998. After completing her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology in 2002, she began her career as a program coordinator at Texas A&M University. For the past 15 years, Dr. M has been with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and has focused on developing and delivering quality community education programs in Texas.

Dr. M serves the Success…powered by YOU (SPY) program as the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Coordinator and Data Manager. She oversees the delivery of the programs such that all clients can expect to receive a superior educational experience. She also ensures that all staff adhere to quality improvement standards.

In her spare time, Dr. M loves to spend time with her dog, Maxie (widely described as the best-behaved Chihuahua in the world), travel and read. She also enjoys meeting and providing training to youth and is particularly excited to be given the opportunity to do so through SPY.
